It's a tradeoff that could only be made better if Arturia uses better hardware in a 3rd gen release. If you have an Arturia MIDI keyboard the hardware integration for V Collection is great, but watch out for Arturia's endless encoder knobs, it seems almost everyone has some issues with them being jittery/jumpy when turned slowly, and acceleration is too slow to make large knob/parameter sweeps. I have Komplete 13 and V Collection 7, and I love both very deeply. But yeah, V Collection is much more focused on synths themselves. Well, there are also a few sampled instruments such as the Mellotron, Organ, E-Piano, Acoustic Piano, and CMI.
